Discover XerJoff & Your EXCLUSIVE chance to WIN!

Italian creators of luxury perfumes XerJoff will launch a stunning new series of deluxe fragrance discovery sets later this month. Voted "Best Emerging Luxury Brand" in the Sorcery of Scent 2010 Roundup , XerJoff have been in the business of making exquisite perfumes and flacons for several years now and have select distribution in Italy, UK, the USA, France and Russia. Their quality materials and meticulous attention to detail has resulted in 3 lavish fragrance lines to date: XJ 17/17, XJ Shooting Stars, and the XJ Casamorati 1888 heritage line.

The new Discovery sets will include all the perfumes from each collection in generous travel-sized atomisers. XJ 17/17 will contain 6 x 13ml atomisers including XerJoff Homme, XerJoff Elle, XXY, Irisss, Damarose and Richwood.

The XJ Shooting Stars collection - inspired by a meteor shower over Siberia in 1947 - comprises two individual discovery sets: the first containing 6 x 15ml bottles including Ibitra, Shingl, Esquel, Dhajala, Lua and Oesel, and the second: 6 x 15ml atomisers of Dhofar, Modoc, Uden, Oroville, Nio and Kobe.

The Casamorati 1888 Vintage Collection contains 4 x 13ml of perfume, comprising: Fiore d'Ulivo, Mefisto, Bouquet Ideale and Fiero. This quartet has been inspired by the glamourous fragrance houses of Italy founded in the 18th and 19th centuries and explores the artistic preservation of perfumes from that era. Check out Sorcery of Scent's review of Fiore d'Ulivo here.

So, if you've no time for the self-appreciating austerity of Creed and don't care for the faux affluence that is Bond No.9, you will find XerJoff are swiftly storming the international luxury market not only with their stunning perfume presentations, but also with their down-to-earth, accessible approach to doing business.

These discovery sets will be available for purchase online from mid-January at the XerJoff online boutique. XJ 17/17 will retail for €255, The Shooting Stars collections for €160 each, and the Casamorati Vintage line for €140.
Visit www.xerjoff.com for more information.

I'm really intrigued by Iriss and may have to buy the XJ 17/17 discovery set! I'm in love with iris fragrances, and this is definitely on my list to try!

I would really like to try both Irisss and Richwood
these are notes i love so much-I'm pretty sure of not being able to decide between the two-
thanks for the draw

Irisss.... I'd personally be happy with any tiny smidge of Iriss =)

Undina said...

I've never tried any of XerJoff's perfumes but based on reviews I think I would like Richwood (and I would definitely love to try most of them).

Mimi Gardenia said...

Me too , Irisss ! I love that stuff and XJ 17/17!
Xerjoff- have tested the entire range- just top quality scents through and through. Superb !

Lindaloo said...

Haven't sampled these yet so it's hard to decide which is most appealing. From the 17/17 collection it's probably Damarose if it's truly a chypre as described, but I'd sample any. From Shooting Stars it's the Ibitra, Dhofar or Modoc. From Casamorati your review sold me on Fiore d'Ulvio. If I win email me at rchawork(at)yahoo(dot)com

I think Xj Elle sounds perfect for my taste . It's floral but so much more with lovely resinous notes ,leather and sounds so sensual.

Irisss does sound fascinating... In the Shooting stars collection, I am drawn to Uden, mainly; and then, Oroville. Email: ffwd0011(at)fastmail(dot)fm

I love the name of the Shooting stars collection. As to which one I would love to have, that is a difficult choice as I haven't tried any and need to check their site first (which I'll go do now just in case I get lucky and get to choose one). :)

I'm deeply in love with Irisss, the best iris scent ! I already have it , but I'm very curious to try the new entries : damarose and richwood.

Perhaps I will have a tad of luck, and if so, you can contact me over my Blog http://duftreise.blogspot.com/.
Have a Happy 2011 with many scents along your way.

without a doubt, Homme is incredible.

it conjures images, memories, emotions... truly a transformative work of art.

from the dwindling sample I have, this morning I tried it again. a bookstore in Galway, an old copy of poems by Emily Dickinson, bound in burgundy-brown leather, feathered at the edges. it had been raining that morning, but the sky was now simply overcast, yet lightening.

yes. scent can bring you back to places that you have forgotten, or merely thought you had.

someday soon I hope to have Homme, if one bottle can bring this back!

Uden... Citrus Rum Coffee and Vanilla , it sounds absolutely perfect ! XXY sounds terribly grown up , something I should try before long 1!!!

Thanks Dimi , loving the blog

I would love to be included in the draw. My favorite from Xerjoff is either Uden or Irisss, but all scents are really so amazing.

So many new things to try, so little time...I'd have to say...Iriss, because I'm helpless in the face of iris, Mephisto (just for the name, and I love citrus, too!), or Fiero.

klytaemnestra said...

Sadly, I've yet to sniff any of the XerJoff offerings, however I'm quite intrigued by Mefisto. I absolutely adore classic Italian colognes so this sounds exactly like something I'd love.

Thanks for doing this draw. I've been seeing many reviews of the XerJoff perfumes, and have been wondering whether they can really be worth the asking price. I think Iriss sounds particularly interesting, but I would be happy to try any of them!

I crave for iris, but I am also very curious for Fiore D'Ulivo, I love florals, and with such a beautiful name I guess it must be outstanding.

Hello D! I'd really love a chance to have Nio.

Notes:Neroli, Calabrian bergamot, cardamom, nutmeg, pink pepper, green leaves, cedar, gaiac wood, Haitian vetiver, Indian patchouli, amber

I am a huge fan of cardamom, nutmeg, green leaves, vetiver, patchouli, and amber.....it as so many of the notes that I covet in a fragrance. XerJoff is no doubt becoming a leader in Eastern Opulence and a common name among us basenoters. The bottle is exquisite and represents an exotic architect that is unlike no other. I want to feel the weight in my hand as I spray a story told by olfactive notes. The bottle itself is so stunning that it could serve as a center piece for display.

I doubt I will ever own a xerjoff, but the chance to sample is too good to pass. :>

I'm most interested in richwood. I wonder how an edp, more expensive than pure mysore per ml smells...

Rebecca said...

Irisss sounds especially interesting to me, particularly because of the carrot - iris connection, because, since noted, it is so difficult to see how they are not more often linked.

Also, I've been an iris fiend ever since I sniffed Dzongkha!

I'm aching to try the entire line; it is difficult to decide on just one scent... However, having spent an enchanting spring in Greece (and every possible Easter somewhere in Italy) the scents of which still haunt me, I really want to try Fiore d'Ulvio.

Aimée L'Ondée said...

I would love to try the Irisss most, I think, because I'm curious how it compares to the Serge Lutens Iris Silver Mist, from which I get a little too much carrot. Thanks for the draw!

Rick said...

Hope that i'm more lucky this time. I confess that i'd be happy to be the proud owner of the sample set, but if i had to choose just one xerjoff to enter in my collection, it'd be irisss. I know how this complex and subtle note can be benefited by a larger budget and an exquisite treatment, so for me Irisss would be the iris crown between my loved irises.
My email for contact is: henri345que@gmail.com

Claudia0219 said...

Oh for me it probably would have to be either Xerjoff Verona, Richwood or Iriss after reading about them. Then again i think i would want to own a little bit of all if i ever could. These sound divine. Would love to be entered into the draw and you are welcome to use my email to contact me.

Great contest! I would love to win a bottle of Kobe, which I find to be the most interesting and accomplished neroli-scents in years. Superb essences, excelent longevity, none of the off-notes to be found in many nerolis, even high-end niche, and a creative approach in blending citrus with resinous notes.

Daisy said...

hmmm...which one is best so far? I have had the opportunity to sample a few thanks to the lovely folks at (can I say?) maybe I shouldn't ,but you all know who carries these already! The shooting stars were nice but didn't move me. The 17/17 collection offered much more intriguing fare: Irisss reminds me an exuberant SL Iris Silver Mist so that's yurmy....Elle is a beautiful light-hearted romp thru a flower garden (love it!) , Richwood is amazing even though I was initially scared to death of spraying patch on my arm...but the patch really behaved himself (you'd be so proud) it was fabulous and never turned to barnyard-patch, what a relief! But the one I want most to try now is Damarose...why? because I'm a bona-fide, card-carryin Rose Ho, that's why. :-) yeah, the 17/17 collection is calling my name...

I've never tried a XJ yet. But Modoc sounds like something I'd like a lot. Floral + Vetiver = Mmmmm...

No question about it - Xerjoff Homme. It is well rounded, the scent which can become signature scent, original enough yet never weird, and so elegant.

Quite frankly, though, I would prefer the prize to be a 17/17 discovery set (-:

OOH! Having the Casamorati Fiore di Ulivo and loving it, but being oh-so-tempted by Esquel, Irisss and Homme, I would have to say that the one that would fill a particular gap in my perfume collection would be... Esquel (Iris, rose pepper and Rose absolute laying on a mellow woody base of Patchouly heart, vanilla and a exquisite Opoponax & Fava Tonka... spicy loveliness! Esquel is the one that made me say "Oh my god that is GOOD!" when I sampled it.)

I have heard much about the Xerjoff name in perfumery. Of the creations, Iriss intrigues me the most. I have read many a good reviews about the scent, but have never been able to sample it.

I would have no doubt that Iriss would be a class scent, made from the finest ingredients - nothing less from Xerjoff.

I hope I'll be able to have a taste of the scent, as the smell of Iris always brings back memories of my childhood days where, although bad, reminds me to be ever grateful and true to who I am and never let events in life stop you in your tracks.

Yet I´ve never found the one that truly satisfied me. Hey, I am the last person to beg for a bottle of perfume, so I won´t....Ok, maybe just one time...please, PRETTY PLEASE, send me that bottle of Uden!!!!!....nothing wrong with being passionate about fragrance is it?

Hello Dimitri,

Thank you for your blog and thank you for this contest.

The reason I'm interested in this contest is because of Xerjoff.

I am relatively new to fragrances, compared to others. It's become a wonderful hobby of mine, and has allowed me to better appreciate my nose.

The stores in my city do not carry Xerjoff, so I am likely never to truly experience a Xerjoff creation from the bottle.

The Xerjoff creation that appeals to me the most is Kobe Eau de Parfum.

Many fragrances tend to remind one's nose of another fragrance (i.e. CREED's Green Irish Tweed <--> Davidoff's Cool Water). Kobe is said to be unique (based on reviews I've read).

You can have uniqueness, but it can be very unpleasant (i.e. Secretions Magnifiques by Eau de Parfum).

With Kobe, and it's uniqueness, it is said to be very pleasant, and can be worn any time and anywhere.

And that is why I've entered this contest, to experience Kobe.

Thank you Dimitri and Sergio Momo.

I can be reached at this e-mail address -> jbbal337@yahoo.com

Oh,my, what a treat! How is it I have not tried all of these yet?

I am crazy about Dhajala from the Shooting Stars collection. I normally don't care for fruit notes, but in this blend the smoke and rose and ambery base give it sublime dignity and gravitas. The bottle is gorgeous, too. I have not been able to try Irisss, but it sounds like my type of fragrance. Iris in an orinetal blend over incense? Oh, yes. But I"d be happy with anything for women or unisex and would not balk at samples either, as there are many I have not had a chance to try.
Happy New Year!

Oh, how I would love to own a bottle!! (I am nursing a couple samples these days.) And I would be all to happy to sample the other two lines as well.

I can be reached at basenotes as chaplain.

I would love to own Dhofar or Irisss or Modoc. I haven't sampled too many for fear that I would find them FBW. I am a student and find it hard to justify buying $300 fragrances with student loans. Amouage started that trend for me. Thanks Sorcerer. My email is pegrysan@yahoo.com.

I would love to own one particular Xerjoff scent...one that I personally feel is the greatest from the Casamorati 1888 line..... Xerjoff Mefisto.

Italy has a long history of making outstanding Citrus/floral scents. Scents that epitomize cool masculine class and compliment the world of Italian fashion so well. I feel that Mefisto takes the wonderful feeling of citrus and floral Freshness of the traditional Italian Eau De Colognes, and boldly takes that concept into the 21st century, with a very fresh and modern take on traditional citrus and floral freshness.

As others have said, Modoc would be up my alley. Spices, Peppery. I can be reached at sblaiss at gmail dot com

Personally I'm not sure, since I have not tried any Xerjoff yet. But I would say "Kobe" looks most intriguing to me, Followed by "Iriss". I would love to get a chance to sample Xerjoff, I'm yet to be in a store that sells them and they're too expensive to blind buy.

What a surprise!I have read today about Mefisto on a perfume collector magazine and then i read about this contest on your blog! I admit to not knowing Xerjoff's last releases but if they are all like their Irisss they will all be beautiful. Among the Xerjoffs I know, Irisss is my favourite, a perfect iris to say the least, with a level of quality i have never smelled in another scent. Among the Shooting Star, my curiosity is piqued by Esquel...i adore orris, rose and tonka bean and i am curious to try them together, in Xerjoff's style.

Iriss, most definitely!

What an exciting drawing--I went to the XerJoff website to read all of the descriptions. I think the story behind Shooting Stars is quite original.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned but I cannot resist the vintage vibe of the Casamorati 1888 collection. In particular, I am drawn to Bouquet Ideal, the description for which sounded like my personal ideal perfume.

ooh la la! I must confess I have been longingly looking at those XerJoff bottles and hoping that one day I would be able to smell them all. The Irisss is tantalizing and one of my favorite notes. This would be an outstanding addition to anyones collection. it is so hard to narrow it down so Richwood is hitting all the buttons and Damarose? a rose chypre?? gimme gimme! but the XXY with peach? oohhh!! and the Homme with leather? help me!!and Modoc? I have been so good this year, I swear! cheers!

Well, I've been interested in this line for a while now and I hate to be generic but I'd appreciate experiencing pretty much any fragrance from XerJoff. I love basenotes: amber, wood, patchouli, earthy notes, incense, elemi, labdanum, etc. so I'd be willing to give in to your greater knowledge of the line, Dimitri, if I were so lucky as to win one of the prizes :) if so, you could contact me at basenotes "nthny"... this is seriously generous both on your part and on the part of XerJoff. Even if I don't win, this level of generosity makes me want to explore this house even more! :)

I absolutely LOVE Xerhoff Elle! It is my favorite scent! I really, really like Dhjala and XXY. Unfortunately, I can only afford samples, so I have to make them last as long as possible. However, I look forward to one day purchasing full sized bottles and sampling the other scents.

I'm interested in XerJoff Homme (based partly on your review Dimitri).

I like any scent with leather, so the more realistic the leather smells, the more I like it. XerJoff Homme seems to be a VERY well made leather that I want to experience.

Happy New Year!

I like all kinds of fragrances (even cheap ones).

My favorite is M7 (because of the medicinal smell).

The XerJoff creation that interests me the most is Modoc. It's unisex, so it can please both sides of my personality, and it's said to have a nice warm medicinal smell to it.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Hello there!

I would like to win because I would like to try something I would not ordinarily have access to!

Being in Adelaide is not easy as a perfume lover and everything costs so much more in Australia all up - including samples and decants.

Yeah ok free stuff - you get it.

I am a bit of a powder fan so the Irisss box would be awesome and has something for my husband too but of the three possible prizes I would most probably be happiest with a set of samples. I do have to admit though that the art on that Casamorati box is to die for ...

Cheers, Kal

Dhajala's resins are calling out my name through the mist and shadow of the old-growth forest.

I was the weird kid who used to eat the resin teardrops I'd pried from the tree's bark and I've never lost my fascination (or taste!) for that thick elixir.

Mixing in amber -a mammalian gift from the sea- with the earthy essence of resins and galbanum seems like an inspired formula that I'd love to have on my skin.

Which appeals? Tough call. The Vintage Collection has an overall appeal; the 17/17 has Irisss, which I very much would like to try, and my, but it is hard to not want to see what a "best emerging luxury brand" does with shooting stars over Siberia as its inspiration.

Narrowing it down to two, each with four digits: 1818, or 17/17.

I've actually had Irisss and Kobe on my "to sample" list for a little while now. But which one appeals to me more? Hmm... I'd have to say I'd go with Irisss. One review I looked at said: "a transparent, high-quality Iris done in the musky-opaque style." I'm a sucker for iris/orris, and since one reviewer mentioned that the powder is kept under control, I'm sold. Even if I don't win, I think I'll put this in my next round of samples.

My favorite designer fragrance is Le Male, but too many people wear it.

I've been looking for a niche creation that is similar to Le Male, but stands well above Le Male in terms of quality.

I have heard that Oesel is such a creation. Oesel is a fragrance like Le Male, but with no expense spared.

Oesel is the one I'm interested in the most.
